The GFAA program conducts extensive research throughout the year, reviewing over 2,000 exhibitions worldwide – digitally, editorially, and live. <\/span><\/em><\/p>\n

Global Fine Art Awards (GFAA) is the first annual award program ever created to recognize the best curated art and design exhibitions and installations around the world.\u00a0 The research and judging criteria are innovation and excellence in exhibition design, historical context, educational value, and public appeal. This year is the fourth edition.<\/p>\n

Art Research Process<\/strong><\/p>\n

Throughout the year, the GFAA Art Research Committee searches to identify the best exhibitions and installations across the globe.\u00a0 The basis for the research and selection of nominees is ongoing and thorough review of over 50 sources of art editorial and critique. More than 2,000 exhibitions are vetted during the process.<\/p>\n

In addition to the research-based nominations, GFAA accepts open calls from museums, biennials, fairs, galleries and other art organizations. Individual patrons may nominate as well.<\/p>\n

The fourth edition of the Global Fine Art Awards (GFAA) program will recognize Award Nominees in 15 categories.<\/p>\n

GFAA judges will ultimately select the winners from the final slate of Nominees for 13 of these award categories: Contemporary and Post-War (solo and group), Impressionist and Modern; Renaissance (solo and group), Baroque, Old Masters and Dynasties (solo and group), Ancient Art, Photography, Design, Fringe\/Alternative and Public or Outdoor Installation.<\/p>\n

The program has expanded this year to include 2 new awards – Global Planet and Global Humanity.<\/p>\n

\u201cYouniversal\u201d, and YOU-2 are the final awards, recognizing the most popular<\/em> nominees selected by public voting on the GFAA website and social media. Voting will take place in January, 2018.<\/p>\n

For eligibility in the 2017 edition, each nominated work must open<\/strong> between Aug 1, 2016 and Jul 31, 2017. Exhibitions that have already traveled to other venues, and\/or will travel are eligible.<\/p>\n
