We invite you to participate as partner with the Global Fine Art Awards (GFAA) program. By creating a relationship with GFAA, you will help support the vision to create a unique global positioning with both coveted art industry leaders and the equally important population of the next generation of art patrons.
GFAA is a non-profit, non-commercial, educational and research-based program recognizing excellence in the best curated exhibitions and public installations (spanning ancient art and contemporary art to the world’s rising stars), and is a counterbalance to the growing commercialization of the art world. GFAA serves as the legacy and repository of the history of the most significant exhibitions each year, thus helping preserve culture and providing stewardship of the world’s artistic developments. The platform has a digital foundation, produces events to showcase the Nominees, and hosts educational panels to further the mission of the GFAA program to expand the audience for fine art.
GFAA is effectively the single, largest portal to every museum, museum trustee, collector and visual artist in the world, based on a universal focus of artistic excellence — internationally and cross-culturally.
The GFAA team is comprised of over 40 dedicated educators, art, and business professionals from 18 countries, who devote their expertise and passion to ensure the future growth of the program.
GFAA celebrates the best curated fine art and design exhibitions and installations worldwide. This year, 85 nominees in 13 categories ranging from Ancient Art to Contemporary are from 28 countries, 60 cities and 6 continents. The final two awards, Youniversal and YOU-2, will be selected by the public through voting on the GFAA website and social media.
The connection to the most significant institutions in the art world is already well-established, and increasing with great momentum. GFAA’s mailing list is over 100,000 art world enthusiasts and corporate professionals. Social Media followers include: 105,000 twitter; 13,000 pinterest, 8,000 instagram, 4,000 facebook, 4,000 linkedin. Of note, the GFAA top 30 twitter followers have a reach of 8+ million followers, and include: The Art Newspaper, Frieze Art Fairs, The J. Paul Getty Museum, British Museum, the Moscow Kremlin, Museo Thyssen-Bornemisza, The Museum of Modern Art Medellin, Noordbrabants Museum, Kroller Muller Museum and GFAA partner Vastari.
This year’s nominees were announced in London, hosted by the Leighton House Museum, and featured the participation of more than ten of the Nominees. This event was the precursor to the Award Ceremony and Gala taking place at the historic 583 Park Avenue in New York on March 8, 2018, in collaboration with The Armory Show, who is promoting the GFAA Awards to their 16,000 VIPs as well as to their entire mailing list of over 100,000 .
GFAA is also in the planning stages to present a new award in Dubai during Art Abu Dhabi. This significant addition to the GFAA program is in partnership with Alserkal Avenue– the region’s most important arts and culture hub. The event will take place in November, 2018 at the district’s architectural centerpiece, the Rem Koolhaas-designed, Concrete.
