London Announcement of 2016 GFAA Nominees and Celebration of 2015 Nominees

            October 6, 2016, the Global Fine Art Awards team hosted Nominees, Frieze London VIP guests and art patrons at a celebratory breakfast at the venerated Ritz Hotel in London. Our event, attended by over 70 international nominees, GFAA partners, art patrons, gallerists, and advisors was held at the historic Ritz Hotel, in the exquisite Music Room.  Welcomed by GFAA President & CEO Judy Holm, Advisory Board members and co-hosts, Lawrence Shindell, Danielle Amato-Milligan, Gina Quan, Peter Trippi, Ty Murphy, as well as judges Dean Phelus, James Bradburne and Joe Lin-Hill, the guests enjoyed formal English breakfast. THANK you to GFAA Co-Hosts who were unable to attend the event - Ivonn Goihman and Patricia Lannes.   Among our celebrated guests were seven current and past Nominees from near and far - Rijksmuseum Curator, Bart Cornelis; Colleen Terry, San Francisco’s de Young Museum Assistant Curator, Achenbach Foundation for Graphic Arts; Candlestar’s Director Fariba Farshad; The National Gallery’s Head of Exhibitions Jane Knowles, and Mona Walsh, Head of Communications; Julia Hartmann, Assistant Curator for Mario Codognato with the Sterling Ruby exhibition at Vienna Winterpalace; Whitechapel Gallery’s Habda Rashid, Assistant Curator.   Guests from the elite art world included Vastari’s Balint Ferenczy and Jenny Judova; Marlborough Gallery’s Alex Platon; collectors Jean Edouard van Praet and Tappan Heher; art advisors and art experts Julie Wynne, Helen MacIntyre, Phoebus Istavrioglu and Anne Laure Bandle.
