Summer 2016 issue “Do you Basel” Interview with Judy Holm, GFAA President & CEO
“Consider how hard art museum professionals work to conceive and organize their temporary exhibitions and installations of art and design, and also how much money their institutions spend to mount and tour them. Now ask yourself: how are the best of these projects honored, after the lights have dimmed and the loaned artworks have headed home?
Oddly, in a world teeming with award ceremonies for seemingly every possible artistic activity, there is no program that recognizes such exhibitions.” Peter Trippi, Editor in Chief of Fine Art Connoisseur magazine and GFAA Advisory Board member.
“The exhibition of the artist Jaume Plensa, Together, hosted in the space of the Basilica of San Giorgio Maggiore and Spiritual Art Workshop as a collateral event of the 56th International Exhibition of Art in Venice, has been awarded with the prestigious Global Fine Art Award for the category “Public art” My Art Guides, December 2015 (link)
